ERGO is one of the major insurance groups in Germany and Europe. Worldwide, the Group is represented in over 30 countries and concentrates on Europe and Asia. New corporate name ERGO Group AG
ERGO Versicherungsgruppe AG has been renamed „ERGO Group AG“ in April 2016. The new name emphasizes the internationalisation of the Group and accompanies the new corporate structure announced in February 2016. Under the roof of ERGO Group AG, the German, International and Direct & Digital business will be steered in three separate units in the future.

We are implementing our claim “To insure is to understand” in the form of offering needs-based advice which understands and picks up on customers’ personal concerns, in addition to communicating in a clear and understandable way and providing innovative services and swift support in the event of damage or loss.
Sales channels
Our customers can choose which form of contact with ERGO suits them best: Meeting with one of our independent sales agents or via phone, mobile or online. Brokers and other partners, too, take care of private and corporate customers. We maintain partnerships with the major European bank UniCredit Group and other banks, both in Germany as well as in various European countries.
Munich Re
ERGO is part of Munich Re, one of the leading reinsurers and risk carriers worldwide. The Group’s asset manager and fund provider, MEAG, also manages the investments of ERGO amounting to 127 billion euros.
